Small Group Classrooms are given flexibility with Vaddio!

Feb 26 2015

In August 2014 I was lucky enough to take some of our guys down to Integrate in Sydney. It was there that I came across Vaddio. I had this sort of Deja Vu. I had remembered seeing these guys somewhere in the past, but for some reason they must have never made and impact on me like this time. Why? well I can only assume that my head was in a different frame of mind. These days we are on the look out for things that will separate us in the markets we are active in. For Vaddio, I see it as a fantastic product for education.

The Video below shows it in a boardroom, but I see it in small classroom settings of today. With all the hype around collaboration in the classroom, its only a matter of time before we are getting asked to provide solutions around collaboration to other schools or classrooms on different campus's.

In the current world, the main to achieve the latter is by using expensive Video Conferencing Equipment like Polycom, Tandberg, Viddyo (Yes, not to be confused with Vaddio), and Lifesize. But with Vaddio, you can utilise Skype, Go To Meetings, Google Hangouts, and other free services. You can even use Microsoft Lync if you already have that where you are.

The Challenge has been with the free services is finding decent cameras that will extend further than your desktop and give you little more than a talking head. There is also issues around audio looping if you use separate USB microphones without any cancellation algorithms to adjust for the loop.

Check out this video for a brief introduction.

You probably see now, why they made an impact on me. If not, maybe we just haven't shown you enough about it, or you are not in the market for it. For me, its just the start, these guys have a huge product line and a new Australian distributor who are keen to get this product moving as they can see the potential in it too.

We will keep learning more about the Vaddio range, and as we do, we will deliver it to you and show you how it can be used. In the meantime, if you like what you see so far, get in contact with us by clicking through to our contact us form or call our office on 1300 799 734 and organise a time to catch up with one of our crew.

Until next time.
